The Realtion or The Serum Amylase between The Maternal. Fetal and Newboran Blood.

Abstract
The serum contents of amylase of the maternal, fetal umbilical and newborn were determined in the 4-8 cases of the normal delivery. The results obtained are as follows.
1) The serum amylase content of the maternal blood is 124.38¡¾3.90 mg/dl.
2) The serum amylase content of the fetal blood is -32.19¡¾1.42 mg/.dl, 3) The serum amylase content of the newborn blood is 40.73¡¾1.49 mg/dl.
4) The serum amylase content of the 18 cases of the normal adults control is 118.28¡¾2.70 mg/dl,
Thus, The maternal serum amylase content is apparently higher than that of the fetal and newborn serum amylase contents, and the newborn serum content is significantly higher than the fetal one. (p<0.01)
However, The difference between the serum amylase of maternal and normal adults control is not significant. (p>0.01)
